I was recently asked about my political party affiliations with regard to my campaign for Mayor of Louisiana. I think that my response to that would have to be “the party of community”. You see, I don’t think that politics belong in local government. I have dear friends who may vote differently than I, but the key is; we are still friends! It’s not one side of the isle or the other, not red & blue for towns like ours.

We SHOULD be, I think, more concentrated on bringing people together rather than pitting them against each other. After all isn’t the end goal making Louisiana a better place to live, work and play? Something for everyone to be proud of? A place that travelers want to stop and visit instead of just passing through? How can that end goal be a partisan issue? So join “My Party; the party of community”.
