I’m sharing a post made by Council Candidate Ward 1 Emily Sitton. Emily was “in my head” with the message I wanted to deliver this week! I think we will work well together!
Emily posted: Working together as a community is something I am truly passionate about.
Our city has so much potential when we stop operating in silos and start building partnerships. I would love to see stronger collaboration between the City of Louisiana and our local organizations, churches, nonprofits, small businesses, and civic groups to make meaningful things happen right here in our town.
There are so many projects that could be accomplished when we combine resources, volunteers, and ideas — from community improvements and beautification efforts to family events, youth programs, and infrastructure support.
We don’t always need to reinvent the wheel. We already have passionate residents and organizations doing great work. Imagine what we could accomplish if we aligned those efforts with city leadership and worked together with a shared vision.
Community progress doesn’t happen alone. It happens when neighbors, organizations, and city officials sit at the same table and move forward together.
If elected to Ward One, I will prioritize open communication, collaboration, and partnerships that strengthen our city from the inside out.
Let’s build something together.
